“HEIDI GOES AI”
“Heidi Goes AI” was a collaborative project between the Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco and the Heidiseum Foundation (owner of the UNESCO’s Heidi Archive). Artists working with Artificial Intelligence were invited to create original images of Heidi, resulting in 20 selected works showcased at Switzerland @Pier 17 from March 11 to April 15, 2025.
Inspired by Johanna Spyri’s classic 1880–1881 novel, Heidi remains a cherished global figure. In 2023, the Heidi Archive and Johanna Spyri Archive were added to UNESCO’s International Memory of the World Register, highlighting her cultural legacy.
This current presentation offers highlights from that original exhibition.
